Seasons of New - by: Abbie Read

Appleton Artist Abbie Read will be hosting an art workshop at the Appleton Library on Saturday, June 17 from 10 am-2 pm. This workshop will focus on the "Altered Book," using old books as a medium to create new inspired pieces of art. Abbie Read had her wonderful art piece Library previously on display in the Appleton Library's front hall. There are many examples of altered book techniques used in that piece as well as in the piece Seasons of New, pictured above. 

Registration is required for the workshop; there is a $15 registration fee. This fee covers all materials including the books you can choose from and use to design your piece. 

Please register soon, there is an 8 person maximum for this class. Register by emailing appletonlibraryme@gmail.com, calling the library 785-5656, or stopping into the library and registering in person.
