Shift Wood Fired Pizza is kindly hosting a free community event at the Appleton Library on Sunday, Sept 15 from 5-7pm. They will have their wood fired pizza oven going outside at the library parking lot and firing up FREE pizzas for the community! You are welcome to bring some of your favorite toppings and they will make your favorite pizza or try one of Shift's specialty pizzas! Bring your own non-alcoholic beverages and a chair! This is a free outdoor event sponsored by Shift Pizza in the spirit of bringing the Appleton community together to celebrate our great town and to have a good time.
The Book Club's September book selection is The Berry Pickers by Amanda Peters . Maine Public's "Virtual Book Club" will stream on the Maine Public's YouTube and Facebook page on Wednesday, September 25 at 7pm. Please have the book read by then! Our Appleton Library Book Club meeting for that book will be at the library on Tuesday, October 1 at 10:00am. Art Exhibits: Daily, during Open Library Hours.
Stroll through the front foyer and the Main Library to admire our revolving-displays, featuring local artists and crafters. Past exhibits have featured oil, acrylic and water-color paintings, sculpture, hooked rugs, quilts, and photography. If you are interested in having your work exhibited, please contact the Library.
